Austrian Mountain Issue ANZUG 03 BDU Pants

A nice roomy pair of pants unaware of its eventual fate of being pressed into work service.

They're kinda baggy in a good way, and swap out the ass pockets I'd never trust or use for a second pair of leg pockets, one of which has a second, smaller pocket within it for reasons I cannot fathom yet still appreciate greatly. The knees have held solid and seem like they'll outlast the rest of the pants by far- my only real complaint is that the reinforcement stitch below the zipper was slightly scuffed up when I got 'em, which swiftly became an actual opening- albeit one with a back cover so under no conditions could you see the orbs I store my pee in. The ripstop's effectively stopped that tear from spreading, but I remain ever fearful nonetheless, likely for no reason.

If you want to try wearing these, say, indoors, with thin soled shoes, barefoot, etc, maybe get a size shorter than you would otherwise- stepping on the cinchers at the bottom of each leg with a bare foot sucks

Lightweight yet durable. More waxy feel where the water runs off but enough to stick, flexible. Obviously some top secret synthetic blend, but I'd feel comfortable army crawling with them. Ties at the ankle reminded me to check the pictures before buying but easier to fit in the boots. I generally like heavier work pants but these are much lighter and will fit for outdoors work.

Good pants, has a tendency to rip in the crotch, maybe that's a me problem though.

Stunningly well-made, durable pants. Their material gives them an attractive sheen. I used my first pair mostly for the style, and liked them so much I refused to wear them into the field at work. Decided that if I was going to be going out to the field next summer, then I could use another pair. Super comfortable fit, for me they are a bit baggy but with a belt fit perfectly. They breath nicely and the bottom edge can be adjusted to be as tight or as loose as you want. I like wearing them cinched tight with long socks, as the cinch can scratch skin. Honestly the best pair of pants I own, and would urge anyone to buy a pair if your fit is available. These pants are relatively hard to find online, so don't miss your chance!
