Condition & Date Guide

Issued to the Bundeswehr (the unified armed forces of Germany), this parka sports Flecktarn, a camouflage developed from a long line of ancestors dating back to just before WWII.

Many agree Flecktarn is one of the best camouflages to wear both in and out of the field (unless you live in Germany).

Fleck parkas are about more than just looks — they feature water resistant fabric, plenty of pocket space, and a cut built for retaining agility while keeping yourself covered. There are even zippers at the armpits for cooling off the body or warming your hands. The Germans have well-mastered parka engineering.

If there was a degree in Flecktarn, we’d hang ours on the wall. Warehouse Ivan spent hours sorting, studying, analyzing, and researching the fleck-info-barren internet. He has found the way — the true method to sort Flecktarn surplus — and the most comprehensive understanding he is aware of (fun infographic in process).

          Kommando must have. Get it.

Excellent buy. Highly recommend. Timely delivery and decent pricing - especially when considering the quality. You might find it a little cheaper elsewhere, but it won't be this quality. My parka came brand new in a sealed bag, original Bundeswehr. Little to no mil-surp odor. Pattern is bright and material has zero fading or wear, as can be seen in the pictures compared to my lower grade flecktarn trousers.

I'm 5'10" 180 lbs. Got a GrNR 15 and it fits as expected. (Check the Bundeswehr sizing scheme if you're not familiar. It's a little unusual.) Sleeve length and chest size are spot on. Being a parka it's slightly loose fitting as it's intended to give room for layers or other gear underneath.

Heavy canvas type material but not really warm. Would need a liner or base layers for warmth. Perfect for fall. Two snap button chest pockets and one small left arm pocket; two zippered hip pockets; one hook and loop inside pocket - left chest; drawstring hood, waist, and bottom hem; zippered underarm vents; hook and loop epaulets; hook and loop sleeve cuffs; hook and loop patch for name tape; zipper and snap button front closure - closes up to the face. Parka comes down to just above the knee.

Top gear. Choice pattern for the revolt against the modern world.

          Pretty cool piece of gear

This is a nice heavy duty field jacket. Wether you're a hipster who wants surplus vintage goods or prepping for the collapse of Constantinople, this is the shit. Nice and heavy duty minor use but it's all good just means it works.

          The Holy Grail of Surplus

Parka was well-loved by its previous owner. Found a couple of loose Euros and a ciggie from the 90's in the pockets. There's some small imperfections but completely functional. Nothing missing, just some little spots of wear. Definitely makes me feel based. 9/10 for me, well worth the money.

          Luv me flecktarn, simple as.

Good quality. Broken in but not jacked up. Mine had the German flags removed from the shoulders. (They weren't imperial German flags anyways). Comfortable, and fairly light. Will be great for hunting, or whatever it is you like to get upto inna woods.
