Introduced in 1984, this personal CID marker was designed to reduce teamkills. In theater, the phoenix has also been used as vehicle ID marker, drop zone indicator, and perimeter marker. It is the most commonly used CID system in the world and is very good at its job.

Almost anywhere we have been, we have brought these little do-dads with us. Kosovo, Bosina, Somalia, Afghanistan, and Iraq. The Phoenix Jr has been utilized by American and coalition forces against the terries non stop since its introduction.

It's basically a tactical lego brick in both appearance and ease of use. Snap it on, toss it on your person, and go. The IR flash is strong enough that you can see it though multiple layers of clothing, so you don't even need mounting accessories. Stuff it in your back pocket and go. You already have an underwear gun, so there's no excuse not to have an underwear IR beacon too.
