Water has a way of turning a decent day into a really horrible one. Whether you trip and fall fording a river or get caught in a downpour, getting your equipment thoroughly soaked sucks. it's inconvenient at best, and threatening your survival at worst. There's always a pack cover, right? well even those can "soak in'' and allow water into your belongings after a short period of time, and they're completely useless when the pack is submerged. Enter the Seal Line Dry bag.

This dry bag made by renowned dry-bag manufacturer SealLine was made for multi-part sleep systems, and it conveniently doubles as a compression sack. Stuff your belongings in the bag, open the air valve, seal the top, roll it up, close the valve and you have a completely air-tight seal that can be submerged. Even in torrential downpours or after fording a river, your sleep system will be perfectly dry & ready to give you a good night's sleep.

Condition

Excellent

  • Lightly used and well cared for.
  • Perfectly functional with either minor or no cosmetic blemishes, abrasions, or other signs of use. For the SealLine bag, the excellent grade means the bags are essentially like-new.

Good

  • Gear that's seen normal use, but retains uncompromised utility..
  • May exhibit writing and/or markings, including rank, serial numbers, etc. For the SealLine bag this generally means permanent marker writing on the outside of the bag.

 Serviceable

  • Gear that remains field-ready, but sports a rougher, worn aesthetic.
  • May exhibit writing and/or markings, including rank, serial numbers, etc.
  • For the SealLine bag, the Serviceable condition means that a minor field repair is required on the material of the bag to bring it back to being 100% waterproof. This generally means a small (at most 1cm) cut, or pinprick hole that needs to be repaired. We've found superglue is the easiest, most durable, and most inexpensive method to fix said blemish. Once the superglue is cured the bag is usually indistinguishable from a Good, or even Excellent condition sack.

Best milsurp compression bag

This is not for the ultralighters out there but we're on a milsurp site.

The defective one I got has two minute holes in it and the black band on top is falling off but a bit of tenacious tape and super glue works wonders. It fits your modern civie sleeping bags without being too fat like the MSS stuff sack and compresses much smaller.

As advertised

Keeps things dry, and works as a compression pack, I managed to fit my Belgian mummy and bivy inside, though it takes a fair amount of work to get it past the fill line

Serviceable dry bag

Ivan and boys have done it again grabbing another great product at such a low price. As stated in the serviceable condition there was a small hole but just slab some gorilla glue on like butter over it and it’s good as new
