Swiss KS90 Waterproof Combat Boots (GEN II)

Look better in person than the pictures and mine came in more than acceptable quality; a mild bit of pitting on the toes, but everything else is more or less perfect and a little shine is all it takes and you won't notice from six feet up even if you're looking for it. Can't speak for the waterproofing yet as I haven't exactly slogged through the muck in them, but they look more than capable in that regard.

I used to be in the military and have used my fair share of boots. These offer far more foot protection than anything we were issued in (Canada). After breaking them in, I tested them out on a remote mountain scramble and they performed wonderfully.

My usual size is a us 11, however when I placed my order they were out of pretty much everything but size 9s. Fearing I would miss the sale, I placed an order for a size 9 intended to take advantage of the free resize offer they have, however now that I have received them they happen to fit me perfectly? Either there was some top tier customer service where they happened to see I had put in a stock notification request for the size 11s, these sizes run very large, or they're not very well organized and I got extremely lucky. Considering the unlikeliness of a mistake resulting in my exact size, I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt and going with 4 stars, pending 5 stars if they somehow confirm it was intentional. The boots fit and feel great, already comfortably worn in.
