Sizing British pants is slightly more complicated than a comparable American pant, however its definitely not an insurmountable task. In order to find your size, you need three measurements.
LEG (INSEAM): This is the measurement of the pant leg length. To find yours, simply measure from the crotch on a pair of pants you own, all the way to the end of the pant leg.
WAIST: This size can be seen as more of a guideline average then what size you have to be. With belt loops, an internal belt, and hip fasteners, there is some leeway (for pants in a bigger size than yours) especially in combat pants.
SEAT: The last number required to find your size, is a seat measurement. For those of you who have never compulsively measured your buttocks, just find the widest circumference you can around the middle. This number directly follows suit with the waist measurement. There isn't any two different seat measurements for a waist measurement. So don't feel like you have to abide by this measurement. However it is here if you are concerned your inserts won't fit, or your squat game is just savage.
