When the French army need a new military pack, they went back to the drawing board. They needed something that could serve in multiple roles—not just another backpack, they designed a two-in-one pack that was a workable duffel bag too. Thus the French F1 Rucksack, used even by the famed Foreign Legion, was born.
This may be one of the most versatile packs we’ve ever seen, with over 13L of capacity, adaptable heavy canvas straps for carrying on your shoulders or back, side handles for conversion to a duffel bag, two side pockets, and two exterior pouches.
The pack is durable and welcomes modification with a rubberized, weatherproof exterior, straps for tying on more gear, and the ability to collapse for lighter loads. It can extend as well if you have a chimney—the pack’s closing straps were thoughtfully given extra length to accommodate.
Shoulders, back, side handles—carry what you need, how you need it, where you need it.

bonjour! Excellent
Pack in excellent shape. The side pouches hold a lot! I have the F2 sack which is smaller. This one is better for winter camping.

Rugged bag with many attachment
Bag is in good shape. Its clearly used, has that warehouse smell, and has dirty/mud/mystery powder on it (mine also has a previously repaired cut)
Its extremely overbuilt. High quality canvas straps that are thick. Rubberized outside shows no sign of real wear, metal hardware (all of one aluminum clip) is rust free. All the other hardware is unfortunately plastic, while none of mine are broken or particularly worn, Its still plastic hardware. It does feel lie some high quality plastic, very stronk and hardwearing not at all like typical glock plastic. Being a grey-ish green it can easily blend into the normie sphere.
More buckles and straps than I know what to do with. most of it is straightforward, but then you have the typical mystery buckles and webbing that must have an intended use but is clearly a tribal secrets of the French, such as the baguette carrier on the bottom of the bag for quick access to their melee weapon, 4 female buckles on the inside flaps used to secure white cloth flags, and the plastic D ring under the canvas handle that I can only assume is used in conjunction with the d rings on the shoulder straps to equip a bib.
Overall great bag for lightweight use best described as an overnight bag
