Ops Core has been at the very forefront of Headborne systems for the world's elite forces for more than a decade. But with prices approaching $2000 for some of their most sought-after models and wait times in the months, civilians don't have an easy time getting their hands on these. We got lucky enough to get one of their most protective models, the TBH-II-MC or Tactical Ballistic Headset configured, mid-trim.
Gentex took the U.S. Army approved Advanced Combat Helmet (ACH) molded shells and made a 200 IQ move of putting more modern components on from their stash of parts. A robust night vision shroud, and a really comfy harness.
While it's a bit more hefty than some of the newer super-ultralight-high-cut-operator-cag-devgru helmets, its comfortable harness and NIJ IIIA rating make it nothing to sneeze at especially at this price. A 'mid cut' helmet brings some of the slight advantage of fragmentation & ballistic protection that a PASGT/MICH does but being much more comfortable to wear due to decreased weight and the ability to run Ops Core AMP on-helmet headsets.
It's a wonderful crossover of GWOT soul and bleeding-edge comfort, and it even comes with a downright sexy MARPAT helmet cover. It doesn't really get better than this...

The general condition of these helmets is that they've seen some use, but are still in excellent condition. We cannot guarantee their ballistic protection as these are surplus and not shipped from the original manufacturer. Like other potentially life saving equipment, we do not accept returns on this product.
