Issued widely for decades, the Gorka (Горка) or "little mountain" is a favorite among Russian and ex-Soviet bloc forces. It is a tough three season suit which excels at shrugging off heavy use and rough conditions. Over the last three years, we've worked to bring the Gorka into the 21st century—resulting in two distinct lines of mountain suit. Originally designed for Russia's mountain troops, the Gorka concept spread rapidly. Its full coverage, generous cut, and high mobility won it quick and lasting adoption around the world. However, like many pieces of Russian military technology the Gorka had a neglect problem.
After its introduction in the Soviet-Afghan war, the Gorka was never substantially modernized. Over the years Russian manufacturers made minor tweaks and updated camouflages, but the core design of the Gorka was left unchanged. 40 years is a long time in military technology, so in 2018 we introduced a suite of upgrades we called the "Gorka K."
The first K Gorka—the K1—addressed a ton of problems with the old Gorka design. However we quickly ran into a dilemma; improving the Gorka further depended on your definition of "improvement." Our team quickly formed into two separate camps: Gorka traditionalists who wanted to improve the fit and function of the Gorka, but not disrupt it's Russian blood. And Gorka modernists who wanted a more Western approach to camouflage, ergonomics and functionality.
While several ergonomic and functional improvements are shared across the K2 and M1 Gorkas, this genetic split has allowed us to take them in separate directions. The K2 features Russian camouflage, Russian pocketing, and a simpler design with less moving parts. By contrast, the M1 has been designed to work better with Western plate carrier systems, and has PCU style armpit zippers, bicep pockets, and a hearty dose of Russian 'Reindeer Moss' camouflage.
Trim and Tight
Both our M and K series Gorkas feature integrated gaiters and blousing bands. Just pull them on—no snagging, no debris, perfect fit.
First Line, Everytime
Now compatible with modern combat belts thanks to a modified rise and reinforced belt line. Don't worry though, the suspenders still work.
Blowout Proof
A generous crotch gusset ensures complete freedom of movement. Squat to your hearts content, your pants will be fine.
Detail Oriented
The little things add up. We used high quality trim and incorporated tons of small ergonomic improvements throughout the M1 and K2.
Owl Neck Hood
Fully articulated hood delivers 180 degrees of unrestricted movement. Move naturally and it comes with you.
M1 Specific Enhancements
A reconfigured front closure makes the M series Gorka more comfortable with Western armor carriers. This is complemented by PCU style bicep pockets, armpit zips for comfort, and green reinforcement panels.

A Mountain Slav Suit
Built with comfort in mind from the beginning. This thing is so wonderful to wear I don't feel the need to take it off. It's not as cold resistant as their previous K1 version which was made from canvas, but it is definitely better for summer and Autumn/Spring weathers more than the previous version. Although I haven't gotten more than a sprinkle of snow yet in the Mid-West, the suit is holding up and I am definitely cozy still. Only improvement I can think of left is to make a fleece/wool/nylon mix inner jacket liner, and pants liner to go along with the suit to weather proof it for harsh winters and winds. Otherwise just buy some spare winter liners to go with the suit for the really cold times, and I bought it a little big exactly for this reason.
Honestly, the pants are amazing, the jacket is amazing. This is the type of go to gear I am looking at using more often when I go innawoods now.

Goon Shit Mandatory Equipment
I waited for some 520 days for this to arrive and let me fucking tell you something, it was worth every second of that time. Upon receipt of the package, I felt an unexplainable joy and ecstasy wash over me while opening it and seeing the huge wad of Partizan unfolding before me, and the violent and unsettlingly intense arousal was finally bodied and laid to rest at the visage of the suit. When they say a Gorka is as if you're wearing a tent, they're not even close to lying, but it's the coziest and most comfy way possible. A day after getting it, I promptly went with my friends to piss around in the Appalachians at night, as we did months ago. We met up, and it was cold as dicks. All I had to keep me warm was my street clothes, the Gorka, and my Austrian Alpine Ranger Boots™ with tactical knee highs. The Gorka performed admirably keeping me warm, my body looking goofy, and my presence being distinctly large. I may not be but 5'10, but I felt 7'6. The suit kept me feeling insulated from the cold, wet, and muddy environment around me, and kept the sticks and shit from slapping me around on the trails. We all made it to the communion point and caught up, and talked about the Gorka, and all its features and aesthetic. It was a certain winner among the goons and definitely won me over in an instant. Ivan, W.H. Ivan, and the whole KS team outdid themselves once again, and I cannot possibly recommend enough this absolute piece of equipment at a great price. Not for a second do I…
