Kommandostore Gorka K2s are constructed using a Polycotton Ripstop fabric, which differs from many Gorkas on the market, and require a different care routine when cleaning is necessary.
Original Gorkas typically featured a high waist and single-seam crotch. It performed as good as it looked — like a potato sack.
We added an extra large diamond shape gusset that goes down to the knee, and lowered the rise to sit comfortably below the navel for a contemporary, high-mobility fit.
It looks and feels good even in the deepest slav squats.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
Gorkas had an excellent original suspender design, but we upgraded the materials significantly with modern elastic and ripstop.
It retains it's original function with superb support and stays out of the way of your chest for all day comfort.
The waistband is incredibly stretchy. Even when you add or remove layers, your pants will accommodate.
We've also added extra elastic cuffs in the lower leg to remove snag hazards while retaining mobility.
Lastly, we've added leg stirrups and an inner gaiter seen in other types of Gorkas to keep the pant legs uniform around your footwear.
Large & Flexible TPU buttons mounted slot-style on the fly & pockets are practically unbreakable.
Thanks to their mounting, they're less prone to snapping off, and have the ability to slide up and down for even more flexibility.
Pockets feature flaps with covered buttons to stay snag free.
The K2 trousers keep the traditional buttoned fly, but feature upgraded slot-mounted TPU buttons for long-term durability.
The belt loops are all 2", reinforced with ample bar-tacking to handle heavy belts & two-piece shooter's belts.
We've reworked the seam structure and size of the hood to accommodate a full range of motion.
It twists along with your head, and easily adjusts to your head using two shock cords.
The brim on Original Gorkas was flimsy, so we stiffened it to work as it should.
Large & Flexible TPU buttons on the fly & pockets are practically unbreakable.
We used "Slot Style" mounting so they are less prone to snapping off, and have the ability to slide up and down for even more flexibility.
Our jacket also features a dual heavy duty luggage zipper.
Two bands of elastic at the forearms slims down the jacket without restricting movement.
Shock cord adjustments at the waist and torso refine your fit even further, unlike the original Gorka's single drawstring waist.
Shock cord at the waist is kept out of the way with a keeper, ensuring you stay snag free.
The bicep pockets now feature a surface to place your favorite velcro patches.
Under-arm mesh venting keeps you cool in changing weather conditions.
Ripstop does as the name implies — It stops rips & tears dead in their tracks.
It's grid pattern aids in keeping damage contained, makes field repairs easier and greatly increases longevity of the suits.
The fabric has a blend of Polyester and Cotton — a perfect balance of durability and breathability.
TPU Hardware doesn't crack or shatter like traditional plastic buttons, and doesn't wear out over time like a metal snap would.
Thermoplastic Poly-Urethane Is known for its ability to resist abrasion, oils & grease, and it's excellent flexibility.
It makes for fantastic fastening hardware, and we used it all over our Gorka.
We specifically picked a high-strength bonded nylon to stitch the whole suit together.
"Bonded" describes the process of chemically treating the twisted yarn together prior to it's final "winding", resulting in high UV, Abrasion, and mildew resistance.
It's commonly used in heavy-duty applications on denim & leather products, and will hold up to all kinds of abuse on our Gorka.
Our previous batch of Gorkas Made in the midst of the pandemic & shipped during the War In Ukraine were already incredibly difficult to get in the USA.
Any sane person would have stopped there and pivoted production to another country to keep getting gorkas.
Problem is, we're not sane at all, and we decided to make like an action flick and do "One Last Job".
We scraped together the rest of the fabric & materials, and with the help of the brains behind our Russian Gorkas, performed a miracle. Another run, to the same specs (this time in 2-tone green) arrived successfully in the USA.
Overcoming near-impossible odds to make our audience happy is exactly what we do here. We do it all for you guys.
Doing this all in secret as people clattered their teeth at the possibility of future Gorkas was all to ensure we'd get things absolutely perfect this time around.
So while this may be the swan-song for this era of getting Gorkas Stateside, it's far from the end of our suits...
For now, these Gorkas will be the rarest of the rare™️. But rest assured & stay tuned, we're just getting warmed up.
I never knew what a Gorka was until Kommando made their refined take of what I soon learned was a Russian classic. I'm very thankful they introduced me and made their own.
The Gorka is not only great looking but comfortable and functional when scouting out the overall zone of North Central Texas; Forests and HEB’s alike.
The jacket is functional, light weight, and attractive. It has Velcro patch spots on both arms for my Waifu patches.🇯🇵 The hooded visor and bungee cord to tighten the hood itself is an upgrade from regular hoodies that don't have the extended hood and the ability to keep the hood fitted to your head.
The pants are my favorite part of this package. I'm 5’6'' and got the 5’7'' length pants. Plenty of air space for the thighs and up north, caffs aren't tight and restrictive. The suspenders are fantastic and make the pants even more comfortable. I was concerned as my foot straps were too long when barefoot. But when wearing my GAT’s the foot straps worked perfectly when preforming the slav prone outside of Buc-ee's. They also worked great walking around the apartment complex.
The pants I received unfortunately had a small hole in the inner thigh. I reached out and the Kommando team were more than happy to exchange my pair with a brand new pair. They even offered to discount my pair if I decided to patch it myself. Despite the hole I still love the pants as they are the most comfortable pair I own and with great customer service backing it up I'm very happy…

Probably some of the best-fitting outerwear I've ever owned.Doesn't restrict my movement in the slightest and it's super comfortable to boot. My only real complaint is that for some reason all but the top button on the pants have a habit of randomly coming undone if I don't wear the suspenders, besides that they're perfect. Now I just hope the Partizan camo version will eventually get a restock
