Swiss Issue Mattock

The mattock is an extremely versatile tool that dates all the way back to the Bronze Age. Ours were manufactured by the Swiss in the 70s–80s, though they are identical to the pre-World War II Swiss model.

A favorite of farmers, gardeners, and bushcraft survivalists — the mattock combines two different tools into one. Ours are pick mattocks, combining the pick with the adze. The pick is used for breaking up hard ground and small rocks, while the adze is used to move soil and create trenches.

Condition

These mattocks are completely unissued, which is reflected in their stellar condition. You'll be the first to use your mattock for your Minecraft cosplay.

We are actively looking for feedback on these. If you get some use out of your mattock, please leave a review or get in touch.

Doctor's Amazed at Progress

Longtime Olympic sounding bronze medalist, I highly recommend as a practice rod to really stretch and strengthen the urethral walls, the supple wood handle holds perfect tension on my wide wrapped bellend, and the unyielding wrought head sporting an adequately sized pick to warm up the golden gate before the session starts. Oh, and it helps plant a nice flower bed.

Size Matters

The right size and built to last, if you look up perfect in the dictionary it will show this pick! The handle is the correct lenght to carry the weight, the pick is heavy cast iron to give years of service. You can't go wrong having this tool in your arsonal for survival or stone collecting or any other purpose that requires digging, this is the tool for the job. I carry it in my truck around my place for root digging, tree removal after pulling small trees etc. It gets it done.

More useful than the "Mexico City iceaxe".

While undoubtedly capable of neutralizing recalcitrant reactionaries, this will also render harmless those 75 lb. "widowmaker" icebergs which build up in winter on the edge of the gas bottle shack, below the parts washer steam vent. It's also less strenuous to use than one of those 30 lb. chisel ended "demolition bars" for demolishing the solid ice speedbumps which build up outside the warehouse overhead door, without demolishing the underlying cement in the process. A more environmentally friendly ice removal option than those 20 lb. bags of blue-tinted salt. When those big ridges of hard-packed snow build up on your driveway, that "all-natural ice melter and traction aid" (SALT) gets rid of that problem by transforming it into a different one: vehicle-corroding slush, which soon re-freezes and makes the problem worse. This thing enables you to level out that hard-packed snow buildup without the vehicle-depreciating, resale value reducing side-effects. For about the same price as a few of those 20 lb. bags of salt, you can buy this thing; and unlike that salt, you can use this over and over for years to come. Did I mention that it's more portable, more easily concealable, and a more effective deterrent to those mouth-breathing yahoos trying to start something at the traffic light?

Great multi use tool

I swing this thing menacingly at groups of women that try to swarm me when I'm wearing my waxi boots out and about. It seems to do a good job of keeping them at bay. I guess you could use it for gardening as well. Or if you sharpen the adze end, you could hew a log.
