This Holster was designed for the official service pistol of Rhodesia and South Africa — the 9mm Star Model BM. Unlike modern Kydex holsters, this stiff canvas holster fits more than that now-niche Spanish pistol. Even in Rhodesia it was sometimes used for Browning Hi-Powers (photo #3), M1911s, CZ-75s, as well as captured Makarovs, and Tokarevs. As you can see in the photos, goofy or not, it even fits a M&P shield (rough use such as jumping around is probably not recommended for subcompact pistols due to possible retention problems). With the appropriate pistols, this holster is just as safe as other level one canvas or leather holsters. The canvas above the trigger housing is even double thick for extra trigger security.
Specs
- Thick, durable canvas, easily treatable for waterproofing
- Designed for the 9mm Star Model BM
- Fits most single stack pistols such as Browning Hi-Power, M1911, CZ-75, Makarov, and Tokarev
- Snap-secured level one holster with pull tab
- Canvas above the trigger housing is double thick for extra security
- Magazine pouch rests on top of pistol holster under snap-secured lid
- Magazine pouch is designed for single stack magazines, but double-stack magazines could possibly be broken in
- Wide loops for use with webbing and many sizes of belts
Condition
Holsters are very lightly used. It is possible that most of the dust and dirt is only from storage.

Good for single stacks, works for doubles, too.
My 1911 and Tokarev fit wonderfully in this little holster. My M&P is a little snug, but also works. Be advised though, the mag pouch will be very tight for double stacks and may compromise your draw. Good for 2 gun with single stacks though!

Impulse purchase; satisfied
Does not fit a Beretta 92, but I did not really expect it to.

Tiny holster is good but tiny.
The first thing I tried was shoving my big fat ruger .45 in that sunbish.
It fit but the flap couldn't close. So I tried all my other handguns. My SAA, too small. My Smith and Wesson 459 but that sunbish had a fat ass grip too.
Nothing else I had would work so I'm in the process of looking for a tokarev for it.
I also smelled it and asked my African friend at work to smell it and he confirms. It does smell like Africa. So it verifies it's authenticity.
A holster so good I'm buying a gun for it.

It works
Got it for a (pre-B) CZ85. It takes some stretching to get the pistol and mag to fit, but I think it'll wear in over time. If you do some finagling, you can just barely get the belt loop to slide on a USGI web belt, too.
