If you have a car, you should have a wool blanket in the trunk. End of story. Don't make me spell it out for you. Its a requirement. They should give you one at the DMV, but they don't. Hell they should send a wool blanket to you when you register for selective service.

Now if you're thinking to yourself "Really Ivan? A blanket?" This bullet list is for you.

Ivan Presents: 5 Reasons You Need A Wool Blanket In Your Car.

  1. Winter preparation: Nothing like getting stuck overnight in a car with a dead cell phone.
  2. Car accidents: You there in a front row, what do the EMTs always wrap car crash victims in? BLANKET! Yes! Bingo. They do it because it works.
  3. Moving fragile objects in your car: Computers, televisions, furniture, art. All best done with a blanket.
  4. Sleeping in your car: Even the cheapest airlines know, if you're stuck in a seat, a blanket makes all the difference.
  5. Protecting your leather from bodily fluids: Doesn't matter what fluids...

If you're still not convinced, go google around. I'm not wrong about the wool blanket thing.

You Need It

I feel like the description sums it up perfectly, it's a wool rectangle, it's grey, it keeps you warm, WHAT THE FUCK ELSE DO YOU WANT?

Just a great blanket

I bought two of these. One, I used as a moving blanket to preserve a TV and some glass furniture, it worked well. After the move, it became a dog blanket and will likely just fill in that "utility" roll. The other blanket got rolled up and tied to my pack to take camping over the spring. It kept me warm but wasn't very soft, but it's wool and I expected that. It holds heat well, mildly bug resistant, mildly water resistant. I didn't sweat in the blanket, I'd rate it pretty good compared to fleece counterparts. I'd probably buy a few others, I'm not sure if the wool blend %, but with the performance I've seen so far, I don't care.
