As of 12/16/2025:
Due to continued issues with the issuance of return labels, all international exchange and return requests have been suspended until further notice.
UPS has become unsuitable as a returns carrier for our international customers, we are urgently trying to explore and implement a feasible, long-term solution for providing international customers with return labels.
Orders valued at $150 USD before taxes will not be eligible for complimentary non-defect returns (cases where the item is not a defective or incorrect item) and sizing exchanges.
If you still wish to return items below this value threshold, please reach out to help@kommandostore.com for instructions. You will need to return items using a DDP (Delivery and Duties Paid) shipping label at your own expense and be familiar with returns procedures on items to mark them properly as defective/returning items.
For orders above $150 USD, and other issues- please reach out to us at help@kommandostore.com indicating the issue. We will do our best to find alternatives, such as extending returns windows or providing alternative solutions.
We deeply apologize for the inconvenience - and we ask for your patience until we can find feasible answers to the issue at hand!
Best Regards,
The Customer Service Team
Why did Our Policy Change?
De Minimis
In August 29th, the US removed the $800 De Minimis exemption limit.Previously, any items or shipments under a value of $800 USD, were not inspected, valued, or looked at by customs. However, with the change happening on August 29th, this created all sorts of new hurdles on something as straightforward as returning an item to the US for exchanges, refunds, and warranty replacements. For a while, our policies continued as the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) took a significant amount of time putting this new rule into effect.
As of December 1st, 2025, we will also need to change how our usual warranties, refunds, and exchange policies will be handled.
The current issue is that all items, whether they are returned to the US for refunds, repairs, or exchanges, will incur an import tax as if the item was a brand new item being imported for commercial purposes, if proper export paperwork is not attached.
