Jungle Kit owners hate him for this one simple trick

If there’s one thing the British are good at, it’s using outdated equipment (and forms of government). So, after close to 32 years of using pre-shrunk canvas webbing that was essentially the same webbing they used for two World Wars, they finally decided to upgrade. The 1958 webbing was almost as old as the Queen for crying out loud. They replaced it with a surprisingly modern belt system that still holds up today.

The Personal Load Carrying Equipment or PLCE was leaps and bounds ahead of the older 1958 webbing. Featuring double layer IRR treated, 1000D Cordura along with more modern buckle, velcro and press stud fasteners. This is a surprisingly modern iteration of belt kit. Especially considering it was originally designed in the late 1980’s.

The four double mag pouches can hold up 3 STANAGS per pouch with an overall carrying capacity of 12 magazines (since the British can’t own guns they must subscribe to the accuracy by volume meta). The two generously sized GP pouches can hold enough rations (or sweet treats) to sustain you for up to 48 hours. Plus the PLCE webbing is designed to work in combination with a pack as well if you plan on a longer recce™.

Surprisingly modern, and priced right. The surplus god’s have smiled upon us and we wish to pass their blessings on to you.

For the quality and price it's pretty decent

I love this Load bearing equipment. It fits amazing over any body style, is easy to use and dispose quickly if needed. Buckles hold up true and drawing mags are simple. This rig can fit over your soft and hard armor easy, even if bulky. Straps will need TLC and mods. Shticky tape fixes most problems with straps. Some pouches were new and some pouches were old, but mostly everything was in a perfect condition.

Easily adjustable DPM LB webbing

Easy to adjust the belt and shoulder straps to accommodate wearing a winter coat underneath or not. Most of the pouches are in new condition, belt and harness very good. Can hold 12-30rd AR mags just in the 2- 2×3 mag pouches. The 2 other pouches can hold 2-16.9 oz water bottles nicely.

Great rig to shoot prone in, the whole set easily washes off, quickly air dry.

A Jolly Good Piece of Surplus!

A wonderful piece of surplus belt kit that won't break the bank! All of the pieces came in varying condition, all being very serviceable and one pouch looking almost brand new. My only gripe is that the bayonet frog is included instead of another bottle/canteen pouch, but at this price point it's really not a big deal, just buy a bottle pouch separately! I've not tried it yet, but I'm sure this baby will hold enough Fish and Chips to keep you running for days!

Pretty solid

It arrived dirty than I was expecting. It was like the guy It was issued to liked to role around in mud holes before giving it back.

The gp pouches are smaller than I expected aswell being able to only hold one un-stripped mre. So smaller than the gp pouches of german web gear.

Seems to be of high quality, but I have yet to use it in the woods very heavily. Definitely needs to be paired with a back pack if your doing anything beyond a range trip.

Also the belt is of a different make compared to the rest of the stuff, but seems by itself would be an okay belt rig.
