From the land of the Glock, these pants "just work" and work... and keep on working. In fact the co-founder of Kommandostore (pictured) wore his pair daily for a multi year period between late 2015 and early 2018. Now you might be saying "that's a little autistic Ivan" and you would be right... but no one has ever faulted autistic people for a lack of attention to detail now have they?

Manufactured as part of the Austrian BDU system, the M75 pant is made from the same fabric compositions commonly found in Austrian BDU shirts. This batch seems to be pretty evenly split between a 50/50 Cotton Nylon blend, and a 67/33 Nylon Rayon blend. Both are equally durable, your choice really comes down to fabric weight and your personal preference.

The 50/50 blended pants are slightly heavier, and have a more muted "stonewashed" appearance. By contrast, the 67/37 M75s are a more vibrant green color, and are slightly thinner due to the compact synthetic fibers.

Whichever blend you choose, rest assured you are buying quality. These pants have proved extremely durable for generations of Austrian conscripts, and are plenty sturdy for the rest of us.

They are lightweight, comfortable and good for warm, cold, and any other temperature in-between. Dirt, scrapes and scuffs that would destroy your jeans are laughed at mockingly in Austrian.

Comes with two spacious cargo pockets and literally the best front pockets we've ever seen on a pair of pants.

Specs

  • Doublestitched vertical slash hand-pockets
    • These pockets are perfect for modern phones. The square, roomy design means the rectangular smartphone bulge doesn't looks like a tumor on your thigh.
    • The outside top corner of the pocket undergoes the most stress. So it is reinforced with an internal square stress patch, sewn into the corner from the inside of the pants.
  • Seven wide 1.3" belt loops.
    • Keeps your belt and any other gear or tools like carabiners or lanyards locked in
  • 8.75" by 7.45" Cargo pockets give you a lot of carrying capacity
    • These cargo pockets are tapered on one side which helps reduce obnoxious pocket sway when loaded
    • Both pockets have a covered button closure to reduce snags
    • The left leg cargo pocket has a small buttoned compartment inside the pocket. Perfect for holding slim/minimalist wallets
  • Classic five button fly, just like your favorite raw denim jeans. With enough use these pants will break in like your favorite jeans too.

    Durable and versatile pants.

I read several other reviews that said they ran small so I ordered one size larger then I am and they are a bit large in the waist but just right length so be aware of that. The pockets are square and larger then average which is nice, the fabric is also lighter then denim so it can be worn in warmer weather then you'd expect. The additional pockets on the sides make up for the lack of them on the back which is an acceptable trade-off for me since I don't use back pockets much anyway.

I'll probably get another pair or two so I can wear them more often when the weather cools off.

    Good pants, a little tight

Roomy pockets, and material is nice and strong. A bit tight in crotch though, compared to the mountain issue pants I got in the same size; if you're interested in both I'd suggest getting these just a bit longer than the 03 BDUs.

Wish I could find the right size

These pants would have been perfect for camping if they only made them in a size that fit me. Note: I consider myself to have an average build (for an American lol). I first tried length III-IV, waist size 96-100. The length was too long but was fine if I cuffed the ankles, but everything was too baggy for my liking. I exchanged them for a pair in length I-II, waist size 88-92 and received what could possibly only be worn by a particularly small female dwarf. I couldn't even get one leg in.

It's a shame I couldn't find a size that fit me without going through the trouble of altering them since they are a quality pair of pants that are comfy and good looking for milsurp. My suggestion would be that if you're average sized and are fine with baggy pants, go for the first size I tried, or get them altered. If you have a girlfriend who is into Austrian military gear, get her the second size I mentioned.

    Excellent quality

One of the 5 pairs I bought was missing a button on the fly, but other than that, they are very comfortable and tough.
