One of the last to give up solid color uniforms, Austria's Bundesheer recently switched to a (vomits internally) digital camouflage pattern. Mercifully, this new pattern of greens, grays, and tan is actually functional in Austria's urban and mountain environments. It's like UCP, except it actually works. Beneath this new camo you'll find all the cultural autism of Germanic peoples, with sensible pocket arrangements, stout closures, and durable construction.
Austria's mountainous terrain forces their military to collaborate extensively with the hiking and outdoors industry. The Austrian mountain pant is one such collaboration and is essentially a military "trekking pant."
Looser and lighter than the standard-issue M75, the mountain issue pant is designed to allow nearly unrestricted movement in difficult terrain. Our batch comes from multiple manufacturers and is split between ripstop and non-ripstop models.
Both fabric options are comfortable, lightweight, and quick-drying — the choice between them is largely aesthetic. The ripstop version is slightly thinner and has a visible "checkering" characteristic in its construction.
Day 65 of operation schnitzel drip--we are outfitted with the finest digital uniforms, the most beautiful girls, and the most hideous rifles. I'm attached to the 190th Drinking Habsburgs as a special Pomp Advisor, yet we have not yet chosen a side in WWIII. Still, the lager must flow. Please write to my fiance, and ask her if she's neutral.

Excellent: Pants are free from any tears, cuts, stains, or missing components. Pants may be missing up to 1 zipper pull tab on a cargo pocket. All zippers are fully functional.

The Austrian mountain pants are my favorite pair I have ever worn. These pants follow in the same form and function and are a great addition for variety. I wish the cargo side pockets had zips rather than buttons but that is my only complaint

They just look cool and I had birthday money to spend. High quality stitching all around
88-92 / I-II in Aus is supposedly 28.3-31.5" but that typically means it's ALL OF 31.5 and if you're smaller (I'm a true 29" waist - manlet) you have to wear a belt. So this is typical for "small short" as a direct comparison to US Army BDU's / ACU's I've always worn. So I believe they run true to size, cause they're made to fit a range of body types and when you're on the bottom of those ranges, belts aren't an option. Annoyingly, extra smalls at the next typical military range are skin tight on me.
That being said - again, the I-II length is in the range for my 5'6" height - the bottom of the pants definitely ride high, compared to typical Western ACU-cut which can be tucked into or bloused over boots.
And that's fine, it's baggier and meant for more mobility, but bear in mind, unless you order a LONGER than your normal length, these probably won't tuck INTO a boot cuff unless you wear those 12" high stripper boots like a MiG-15. So these are really meant to breath.
Nice soft feel, ALMOST FRACU soft, but not quite, the cargo pockets are proper US Army sized (I'm often shocked at the paltry dimensions of other military "cargo" pockets but these can hold a 1 qt canteen like BDU's) and as a nice touch, there's a velcro'd mini-pocket within each cargo pocket area. No ankle or butt pockets.
Has belt loops or a normal height AND interior suspender loops (at kinda 1030/130 o'clock and …

If you're earth type and not air or water, these pants will fit you like a glove. Something for my thick thighs and prominent hamhock with room to still be medium-speed. Also the pattern is top notch. Maybe get the I-II if youre my dimensions.
