Finding Your Size

All Flecktarn parkas and field shirts use the Bundeswehr sizing system. In the Bundeswehr system, every chest and height combination is assigned to a number designation, the Nr.Gr. size. Each Nr.Gr. number can be directly translated to standard NATO sizing, so once you know your number you're set for most military clothing.

For parkas and field shirts, measure your total height and your chest. If your measurements come between two different height sizes, it is recommended to go for the bigger size. Find the row with your height in it, then find the column with your chest size; the number in the box where they meet is your size.

Tropentarn, or Wüstentarn (as it's been mistakenly called) is a variation of the well-known Flecktarn pattern used by the Bundeswehr in arid and semi-arid regions. It opts for fewer, less forest-y colors to better blend in with these environments.

In most ways, this one is identical to the normal Flecktarn Field shirt, with some slight differences including armpit vents on some models. 

We definitely don't get these often, so now's your chance to grab a rarer type of Flecktarn in a good-looking field shirt.

  • Tough poly/cotton water-resistant fabric.
  • Snap-secured storm flap.
  • Two snap-secured front breast pockets.
  • Shoulder passants for epaulets, rank tabs, or pack straps.
  • Mesh ventilated armpits.
  • Shoulder pocket on left arm.
  • Hook and loop wrist fasteners.
  • Hook and loop fastener on right arm.
  • Hook and loop fastener above left front pocket for name tape. 

Condition

Field Shirts are in excellent condition- no tears, stains, or marks are present. All hardware (zippers, buttons, etc) is intact and functions without issue.

First one was so good...I bought another!

Second was not as crispy mint as the first...but got it to cut patches off and wear as a daily piece. It was the last in that size...good shape...but not as brand new as the first one I grabbed.

Favorite shirt

I bought this because I needed a tan kit for a milsim with my brother. But brother I’m drowning in this drip now. 5”10, 187lbs and I got the size 10. A little big but with my plate carrier it’s nice to have some movement of material. Absolutely amazing pattern and for $30 it’s a steal. Need more gear in this pattern now

Thang was extra crispy

Is crispy spelled with a "k"? I don't know...either way, this jont was more than o-K with me. Condition definitely as good as or better than advertised on a somewhat uncommon camo. It was so good, I ordered a second one - so I can remove the patches. Definitely goes real hard...lots of pockets. An equivalent civy produced item would easily be 2-3 times the price. Get it while you can! I was bummed the size 11 was out of rock when I ordered, but I gambled on the 10, and not I'm glad I did...fits PERFECT.
