Dutch DPM Sewing Kit

It’s small, it’s cheap, and it’s undeniably practical—kind of. The Sewing Kit doesn’t inspire confidence with its flimsy stitching and questionable construction. The camo-patterned case is charming in its own way, but you get the distinct impression it’s hiding its own fragility.

Inside, the tools are basic but functional. Needles, thread, a few buttons—it’s enough to patch up gear in the field or your couch at home. But as you hold it, you can’t shake the feeling that the first thing you’ll have to repair is the sewing kit itself.

And yet, there’s something endearing about its scrappiness. It knows it’s not well made, but it punches above its weight in utility. It’s not built to last, but maybe, just maybe, you’ll find yourself relying on it more than you expect.

Three stars. Flimsy, but it earns its keep—for now.

These are nice to have around. Bought 1 to go in the backcountry the other i keep in the basement for use with surplus. If you buy enough surplus, like me, eventually you will need to make repairs. These are very light weight compact and simple. Needed a bigger needle and a couple new colors, which there is room for and good to have around.

A decent little kit to make some basic repairs at a good price.
