These shoes make for a great lighter option than mid top boots for hiking or trail running with their grippy, Solomon-esque outsoles and are very comfortable for long periods of time. For a shoe that's this well cushioned and reinforced, they're also pretty light weight for their class. While not incredibly remarkable looking, they're sleepers when it comes to their durability and overall performance. They’re made for just about any sort of training activity the Bundeswehr subjects their troops to, but make great daily drivers as well if you just need a bomb-proof shoe.

Grippy Sneakers
Very happy, they appear to not have been used and very comfortable sneakers. I ordered half size larger than my boot size and they fit perfect.
Fantastic for hikes, not so much for driving
The shoes are probably some of the single lightest pieces of footwear I've had in years, and that counts my Jesus sandals that have almost worn through to the rubber from the inside. The grip on them is nothing to be gawked at either, something that actually becomes an issue with pedals. I've repeatedly found that wearing them on my way to work to break them in they would actually hook the pedal with its tread, not to say that's a downside to them, just something to take note of when you want to wear them for the day. The actual critique I had was that I would recommend swapping the soles (which you should do regardless) for something that has more support, and also because with better soles it will make better use of real-estate, which I found handy as with the original soles the shoes were just a bit too small, but with new soles they gave just enough space to be a good fit.
