Finding Your Size
Most German military uniforms, including our Acidtarn and Versengtarn field shirts use the Bundeswehr sizing system. In the Bundeswehr system, every chest and height combination is assigned to a number designation, the Nr.Gr. size. Each Nr.Gr. size can be directly translated to standard NATO sizing, so once you know your number you're set for most military clothing.
To size your field shirt, measure your total height and your chest. Use these numbers and the chart below to find your Gr. size.
You now have a choice to make. If you would like a "shirt" fit, use the Gr. number you just found. If you want a slightly longer "jacket" look, go up one height bracket and use that number instead.
For example, our photoshoot model (5' 10.5", 37.5" chest, 145 lbs) wears a size 02 for a shorter "shirt" fit, and 07 for a longer "jacket" fit.
If you have any questions about sizing, don't hesitate to open a chat with us.

Acid·tarn from the German acid "acid" and tarnen “camouflage.”
We discovered Acidtarn by accident while conducting dye tests in 2017/2018. During these tests, two identical Flecktarn parkas were sent through the standard Versengtarn dye process to confirm our dye ratios, additives, and wash procedure. When we had finished processing the parkas, one came out the black Versengtarn pattern we expected, and the other came out a deep iridescent green.
The difference came down to the ratio of cotton and synthetic yarn. Prior to 2005, all Flecktarn uniforms were manufactured with a relatively large percentage of cotton. After 2005 this was changed, increasing the proportion of synthetic material in all German uniforms. Because our dye selectively binds to cotton, the undyed synthetic fibers created a dramatically different garment.
In person Acidtarn appears similar to an olive drab, with an iridescent "oil slick" green from the synthetic content. In fact we considered naming it Ölpesttarn "oil spill pattern" for exactly that reason. In the end our informal nickname "Acidtarn" stuck, proving to be just as acceptable in German as it was in English.

its great but im hoping for a restock i could go like a size bigger to fit perfect but the acid tarn looks great makes thr fkecktarn a little more subdued will definitely buy again and most likely the other patterns also once a restock comes through
Rugged as hell. I'd get put in the grave in this thing.
The dye job is excellent. The product was delivered on time, and the shirt is impeccable. I am very satisfied. The sizing chart helped me find a good fit.
I love it. Fit is perfect using the sizing chart. Condition is excellent. It's softer than I expected and it's plenty tough. The last name patch is just the right size for a JStark "Live Free or Fucking Die" Velcro patch which is a nice bonus.
