Finding Your Size
We recommend that you measure your chest with a tailor's tape for the best possible fit. If you are close to one size, or are otherwise uncertain, open up a chat with us and we'll walk you through sizing.

Please note: the Gore-Tex shells do run large in order to accommodate wearing layers underneath.

This is the Austrian Gore-Tex Hardshell — Built for the harshest heights of the alps, and torrential downpour in the Jungle. This is the shell everyone at KommandoStore has in their trunk.

Designed and produced under contract by a high-end Austrian ski-wear company, This is about as nice as it gets short of an Arc'Teryx LEAF Alpha Jacket (but we'd be sued into the ground if we told you that this is nearly the same thing for nearly 90% off. Which it totally isn't. We'd never say that.)

Featuring a PTFE Gore-Tex membrane, it keeps everything inside it perfectly dry for an extended period of time. Unlike a windproof jacket, the membrane doesn't "soak through" when it comes in contact with moisture of any kind, be it rain or snow (which the Austrians see quite a bit of).

The tuckable hood is extra large to accommodate helmets, and features a tidy shock cord arrangement that doesn't dangle or get caught up & snag on all the rest of your gear. It also has a shock-cord adjustable crown for properly fitting to heads & helmets large and small.

The 'napoleon' chest pockets are extremely large, making it an EDC machine. Phone, wallet, keys, and also large enough to comfortably hold another piece of Austrian engineering without any majorly suspicious shapes bulging out.

Specs

It arrived in condition as quoted and I am happy with the parka BUT the color is a lot more green not grey as shown in the store. Had mine been grey i would be leaving 5/5 stars. Sizing is perfect. GOOD COAT bring on the Fall rain and chill I am ready.

For men of class only.

Walked for about an hour through the tail end of hurricane Helene to attend a charity event wearing my Austrian Anzug 03 Gore-Tex Alpine Hardshell Parka and Austrian Anzug 03 Gore-Tex Alpine Hardshell Pants. Arrived warm, dry, and stylish. Truly this is how men of class adorn themselves. Parka delivered was perfectly sized, great condition (Only blemish being a small ~1mm burn spot on the outer layer of fabric), with a free pair of used ear plugs and a candy wrapper in the breast pocket (Which is unreasonably spacious, and of which you are generously provided two). 10/10.

bretty gud

I ordered 2 sizes down on width and one on length, and it fits exactly how I wanted. I know I can't wear a lot of layers under it as a result, but I wasn't planning on that. My idea was one or two shirts max under it, and it fits perfect for that like I hoped.

The "tuck" function of the hood is unique. Wonky looking, but it works.

Condition overall is decent, except for the hood which has the two layers of material that have lost cohesion; shouldn't affect function but it looks silly. (the deformations seem to line up with it being in the tucked position and it being worn roughly for some time)

It's also of course virtually impervious to water. Like to the point of being an issue if you ever want to wash it because it simply does not want to get wet. I find the best way is to put it in a load with a BUNCH of towels and doing 2 cycles at least, making sure the jacket doesn't float to the top. Then simply pat it down with a dry towel and air dry.
