The history surrounding the development of vz 97 camouflage is one of surprising peacefulness. It all started with the breakup of Czechoslovakia at the end of 1992. Unlike the chaos that ensued when Yugoslavia broke up, Czechoslovakia dissolution was a mutual one. So mutual in fact that it was called a velvet divorce. Unfortunately this meant no more sharing the same camo pattern, the ERDL inspired vz 95. The Slovakians must have taken inspiration from their former country, however, because their vz 97 camouflage looks suspiciously like M81 woodland. Depending on the age, it is affectionately referred to as “bright” woodland.
This heavy duty Field Jacket has several rather unique features, including an astonishing ten pockets with two suspiciously AK-47 magazine shaped front pockets. The reinforced elbows and shoulder yoke guarantee the jacket will last until the Czechs and Slovaks change their mind, put aside their differences and reform as Slovakoczechia(?) It even has two interior pockets that can hold any sort of Makarova shaped items securely inside the jacket. Lastly, its drawstring adjustable waist and button adjustable cuff will keep even the most coldblooded Slav warm on the coldest of nights.

Sizing
Jackets are sized by the users height, and chest circumference in centimeters. We've translated these sizes to standard US sizing, but we'd absolutely recommend measuring your height and chest circumference for the best fit rather than relying on your US size. Jackets are pretty easy on sizing, so as long as you're close to the selected size measurements it should fit well.
Condition
Jackets are in great condition, with no tears, cuts, or holes. May have minor signs of use. All hardware is intact, and functional.
