Swiss Suvasol Sunglasses

The powdery white snow of the Alps is prone to give skiing soldiers snow blindness, which is a major problem when you're training on the snow-capped peaks all year long. However, the Swiss don't settle. They made a pretty killer pair of shades that brought the brand name Suvasol to the west with how many surplus examples hit the market.

Don't let the light weight fool you — these are great quality polycarbonate sunglasses with a dash of Swiss quirkiness their surplus is well known for. They come with a light rubber coating and flexible nosepiece, as well as a neckband obviously intended to help officers during any Cigar-boat related incidents.  

The brown-tinted high contrast lenses are a godsend for cloudless days on the slopes or at the beach. Suvasol says they're 100% UVA & UVB protective up to 400nm, or in English a whole lot better than your trusty safety squints. We don't recommend using them as shooting glasses since they do not have any sort of ballistic/shrapnel rating, but they make for a unique and stylish pair of shades with surplus flair.
