Cozy Balaclava
I'm use to older surplus Balaclava. So having a new surplus one was really noice 👌
Identity? Concealed. Frosted tips? On full display. We are sure that the mesh top of the balaclava is meant to keep your head cool but the added bonus is that your $60 dollar frosted tips will be fully visible. There’s no better way to hide your identity while also letting the world know that you peaked in the late 2000’s.
'FROG' in this case means Flame resistant organizational gear. During OIF/OEF, a lot of military garments ended up switching over to FR materials due to their wider availability and ease of integrating into combat uniforms. At first, there were layers that went underneath pre-existing combat uniforms, like masks, gloves, and undies. Eventually, it just made sense to make everything FR. And since the marines are special (interpret that how you want), they got a few special layering garments as well.
Enter the FROG balaclava, made just for the USMC
Designed with a mesh liner to comfortably fit underneath a helmet, the FROG balaclava’s flame resistant Para-aramid and PBI fabric won’t drip or melt regardless of heat. Plus the hinged face guard can quickly fold down when you need to quickly kiss the homies goodnight.

Kept me warm in the treestand and is very comfortable.
Thanks to the consistent badgering via email I’ve decided to let the world know this will keep your face warm. Is supposedly FR, haven’t gotten to test that aspect yet, but I’m sure i will in due time. Vented top is nice and keeps you at a comfy warm while moving in the cold without having your head turn into a Hong Kong soup kitchen in late summer. Definitely worth what I paid for it (can’t remember at this point) and everyone should buy one of these if your face ever gets cold or may be subjected to fire.
