Initial Impression Review (for Lanky MFs)
I don’t usually write reviews, even for things I really end up loving, but I figured this could be helpful for some people who may be unsure about the quality, and more importantly the fit of the M1 pants.
Overall quality/feel: I am in law enforcement (and served in the Army years ago) and have worn various combat uniforms. The past 5 years. I have worn Crye G3s regularly. I believe that the M1s are genuinely nearly as good as any premium $300 combat pant, with the caveat that they may be 0.5 points less comfortable. That is to say, they’re still very comfortable, maybe just that the material is not as soft as Crye. However, I actually enjoy the way the fit feels more than Crye. In terms of durability, I’d be VERY surprised if these pants don’t hold up to immense wear and tear and abuse. They do seem very sturdy in their construction. As sturdy as any Crye or Fjallraven I’ve worn. If you are unsure about their durability because they aren’t Crye, I’d say don’t worry.

I measured my waist at 78-79mm before I ordered the M1. For the M1, I ordered the 70-74/182. I was concerned the waist would be too small, even with the elastic. When…
