An icon in tactical wear, this is the British SAS Windproof Smock, except Fudd-flavored. A commercially produced one-off, this ultra-hipster smock comes in modern "TreeCam" camo. Unlike the classic DPM, which served the British Armed Forces from 1968 to 2016 (and still lingers in once-and-future-colonies), TreeCam brings a fresh, commercially crafted pattern that will earn you 2% off fudd booths at the gunshow, make your pappy crack a smile, and leave deer and Bud Light cans quaking with fear.
While it may not have the cool points of a military camo, TreeCam is obscenely effective in its intended environments, often outperforming more general coverage camos like M81, DPM, or Flecktarn.
The SAS Windproof Smock is a load-bearing legend. Its massive chest pockets hold everything—IFAKs, mags, MREs, you name it. Pair it with your favorite belt kit, and you’re ready to ruck through any terrain, from the Rockies to the Falklands. The adjustable waist and hem seal out wind, while the wire-reinforced, oversized hood (built for those chunky Bri’ish helmets) keeps your tactical awareness sharp and your head protected. It’s not rainproof out of the box, but a quick hit of spray-on waterproofing from your local gear shop will fix that faster than you can say “God Save the King” (don't say it, throw that tea away, bro).
--Why do Brit troops always get the words to "Let Freedom Ring" wrong?
