With an enormous amount of compatibility (just about anything with a light rail) and holster support it's the default answer for many law enforcement, military, & civilian applications.

Taking the common CR123A Battery type (just like your scout-style lights), It provides an incredible amount of light in a relatively small package. The switches on the rear are easily accessible even with smaller fingers and are easy to learn the modes of (Looking at YOU, B.E. Meyers "play dance dance revolution with your fingers on our laser to activate the mode you need").
