Swedish M90 camouflage originally began its life as vehicle camouflage developed by the Försvarets forskningsanstalt (FOA) in the 1970’s.

With solid colorways becoming rather dated by the late 1980s, Sweden decided to adapt its FOA camouflage for use amongst its personnel as M90. Designed to hide Sweden’s planes and tanks from the aerial and satellite reconnaissance of the late Soviet Union, it was especially useful in hiding amongst Sweden’s forest and tundra. And since most people aren’t as large as a tank (unlike your average American), the Swedes decided to scale it down by a proportion of 1:66.

The result? An uncharacteristically clean camouflage. With its hard lines and geometric patterning, it’s hard to believe this pattern was originally developed in the late 70s. It was so modern its influence can even be found in Battlefield 4… if you know where to look. It certainly makes for a uniquely futuristic camouflage that isn’t MULTICAM®️ (thank the Lord)

The M90 field shirt is one of the more “modern” surplus field shirts we have received. With its buttonable storm flap, dual velcro pockets, and reinforced elbows, it can withstand the harshest weather that the Scandinavian peninsula can throw at it. The velcro name tag holder and rank tab you can make sure that Swedish girl knows both your gamertag™️ and that you’re 10th prestige IRL.

Sizing

The Swedes thought they were making a sizing utopia by deciding your size with height and weightHonestly? It works pretty well. Figure out your height (in centimeters), and input your overall weight and you should have a well-fitting field shirt.

Can you dig it

I can dig it

Nicely made and pretty good sizing format; only unfortunate thing is my particular jacket got censored. You can see stitch lines where the little Swedish flag was and possibly a unit patch on the left arm. Another is on the back where a possible tag was. Doubt it was Kommando and more from their supplier. Still happy with it

I’m Swedish by heritage and now I feel even more Swedish-er

High quality fabric and awesome spots for patches! The only qualm I have is that the original sewn on tag that has all the info and camo name on it has been removed, along with a couple sewn on patches on the right arm. No big deal, just thought I’d throw that out there. I’m happy as can be.

Comfy Winter Wear for Winter Warriors

Love this thing, it came brand new, and was easily confirmed new by how starchy and fresh it was. Be warned that these run large as theyre intended for winter and wearing clothes underneath them, so if you're a desert person you might wanna size down. These shall see many a field day in the near future.
