Wellenbrecher Sizing Chart
Finding Your Size
All Tropentarn, including our Wellenbrecher field shirts use the Bundeswehr sizing system. In the Bundeswehr system, every chest and height combination is assigned to a number designation, the Nr.Gr. size. Each Nr.Gr. size can be directly translated to standard NATO sizing, so once you know your number you're set for most military clothing.
To size your Wellenbrecher shirt, measure your total height and your chest. Use these numbers and the chart below to find your Gr. size.
You now have a choice to make. If you would like a "shirt" fit, use the Gr. number you just found. If you want a slightly longer "jacket" look, go up one height bracket and use that number instead.
If you have any questions about sizing, don't hesitate to open a chat with us.
Our photoshoot model is wearing a size 02 for a shorter "shirt" fit, and 07 for a longer "jacket" fit.
He is 5' 10.5", has a 37.5" chest, and weighs 145 lbs.
