When the British SAS requested a lightweight yet warm garment, Arktis developed the A212 Reinforced SWAT Shirt. This state-of-the-art garment was designed with the harshest environments in mind. Its minirip outer layer is crafted to provide both protection from the elements while also providing optimal durability, thanks to an abundance of reinforced PU, strategically placed in high abrasion areas such as the shoulders and elbows.
The A212's sides have adjustable zippers for easy donning/doffing and to improve ventilation. The zippered sides are also designed to accommodate holsters to make sure your sidearm is always easily accessible and ready to go. Additional features of this cutting-edge garment include a micro fleece liner, a front half zip, long fleece “monkey’s paw” cuffs complete with thumbholes that can be easily rolled or folded away, and a longer back to keep you warm and cozy.
The A212 is the perfect combination of a midlayer that can also function as an outer layer when needed. Perfectly lightweight and packable for cold and windy excursions wherever your sense of adventure or the Ministry of Defense takes you.

Specs
Sizing – These tend to run tighter in the Chest/Torso than equivalent US sizing, We recommend sizing up one size above your normal size if you want a looser fit.
It's seriously comfy. The fleece inside hits everywhere you can feel it and it's like you're wearing a nice blanket or Stafford bathrobe, but honestly even a little bit better. If the other Arktis gear are anything like this then I would buy one of everything if I had that sort of money to throw on a whim.
It's COMFY.
The Arktis hype is quite warranted. Pretty sure one of the Gentleman at Kommando has a personal blog, and it was through those detailed reviews that inspired to me give the brand a try. This isn't my first Arktis product, but it is my first A212 fleece!
As a disclaimer, this item does not feature pockets, for those it may concern. This is my only complaint, when the garment is strictly worn on its own. However, the convenient side-zips and adorable monkey-paws are a worthy tradeoff.
I purchased this to use as a layer for one of my various Arktis and Kruschiki smocks. This is where the A212 really shines as a mid-layer!
It isn't exactly "packable", compared to either the Arktis windshirt or rainshield; but it doesn't take up an unreasonable amount of space within a daypack or ruck (just get a bigger bag, duh).
It does, however, capture the definition of light and comfy! It has proven immediately useful at the onset of New England's colder seasons. As much as I love the M65
Also a solid deal through Kommandostore! Shipping from the UK kind of sucks, even though the products and cute stickers are worth it. But Kommandostore also has adorable stickers, and only a dumbass would ignore the splendid deal, here, and bypass silly and expensive shipping expenses.
New with tags, this is now a favorite. The hand insulation cuffs on this are actually useful, and the shirt and material overall seem to be top-notch. While I have not taken this on a multi-day trip, my time spent outdoors with it is promising.
It took some time to get here but it made it just in time for modern gun here in Kentucky. Super comfortable and the zippers work great.
