One small flaw

These are good boots that look great and fit great, the only problem was that the soles came loose when I first walked around in them. Some shoe glue fixed that easily though.

Werf the Wait

Been eying these since I first found KS, didn't have the money and then they went out of stock. Got a size 10, im about a 9.5, fit perfect with a little room for thick winter socks, the included laces are pretty sweet. Boot's min wear, still has a nice sheen with normal wear marks, they have a great standard army boot type look.

Austrian paratrooper boots overated? Or unlucky?

I waited 2 years to get my hands on these boots and I was excited to receive them after hearing so many reviews. After receiving them I was disappointed that they weren't in "excellent condition" the blemishes were expected but the deep cuts all over the boot caught me by surprise. Not really "lightly used shape" according to the description. Although I can't be to upset seeing how these pair are dated 1983 then I suppose they're "not bad" for their age. I ordered a size 8 or EU 41 because thats how I normally size myself with boots and for me thats the comfortable snug fit for me but for some reason these feel slightly tight. I did a size comparison to my old Mcrae boots which is also a size 8 regular and it came to my surprise that the field shoe was a little small. I took them on a small walk and notice that my heels were hurting and felt loose after 15 minutes of walking, as well as feeling discomfort around my toes. Not as comfortable or snug as some people portray. I did give them some different insoles in hopes of fixing the discomfort but to no avail. Also the description of the boots said these came with insoles, but instead it came with a piece of cardboard and I was trying to figure out what the purpose of this served also to no avail.

Overall, I love these boots for there design. They are the sexiest boots that I have in my collection but they didn't seem to live up to the expectation as people portrayed and feel more like cheap rothco boots in terms of comfort…

Paratrooper vs. KAZ 03 'Ranger' boots

As I said in my previous review of the KAZ 03 'Ranger' boots, they’re worth every penny. If you live in a northern state, Canada, or the Rocky Mountains, they are the boot for you. They are a heavier duty construction, warmer, and have better ankle support in rough conditions. That being said, I absolutely love my new Paratrooper boots. They are slightly taller, and the leather is thinner. They are supremely comfortable and will break in faster than the Ranger boots did. They are light enough that I feel I could run distance in them if I needed to. Mine were purchased in excellent condition, which helped. Buy the best condition boot you can afford for your intended use. For most people, they will probably be best served by the Paratrooper boots. In the meanwhile, I still love my Ranger boots and they will get good use when Winter returns. Until then, the Paratrooper boots are my new favorite. Thanks, Ivan!

Pretty comfy

The size was a little larger than i expected, that might've been my own fault though.. but regardless they feel great! Kinda squeaky but it's funny cause it reminds me of the spongebob boots so fuck it. Also major props to the people who shipped it because I wasn't sure if they were supposed to come with laces or not (mine didn't) but they went ahead and sent me some when I asked free of charge and sent me a FREE ushanka... it may have a barely noticeable hole in the side but I still love it! Can't complain about free. These guys are really helpful and responsive
