Belgian "Mummy" Sleeping Bag

This Belgian "Mummy" sleeping bag is both an ode to classic sleeping bag design as well as a way to cosplay a giant, inebriated inchworm and be that guy at the campout or sleepover.

For those not in-the-loop, mummy bags are designed to cover you almost completely from head to toe, only leaving your face exposed via a drawstring cinch. They can be extremely cozy on a cool summer's night or with some added extra layers, a crisp fall evening.

Specs

  • Two-way double-sided zipper going down 180cm (70") of the bag
  • Weight: 4 lbs
  • Dimensions when unrolled: 215 x 80 cm (approx. 84" x 31")
  • Polyester stuffing
  • Unknown rating. From our experience you can sleep at 30 degrees comfortably, 15 degrees is pushing it, and at 0 degrees you'll want extra layers.

Condition Guide

Excellent

  • Lightly used and well cared for.
  • Perfectly functional with either minor or no cosmetic blemishes, abrasions, or other signs of use.

Good

  • Gear that's seen normal use, but retains uncompromised utility.
  • Minor cosmetic blemishes such as small frays in the fabric, or patched sections in the bag.

 Serviceable

  • Gear that remains field-ready, but sports a rougher, worn aesthetic.
  • May have significant cosmetic blemishes, abrasions, or other signs of use.
  • May be missing nonessential hardware, or require minor field repairs to the fabric or hardware.

Great value

Ordered "serviceable" received a bag that looked like it had never been used. Too warm out for me to test it's comfort in cold weather but it's comfortable as is.

A must for camping with S.W.A.G

Very comfy, very warm. I'm 6ft 205lbs and it fits me well with a decent amount of room. Going mummymode in it requires some technique, but it isn't hard enough to require a tutorial unless you're actually retarded

Cecil n'est pas un Modular Sleep System...

... and that's okay - it sits about where the patrol bag is for warmth, but without some of the bells and whistles. However like the MSS bags, this does have sewn loops on the outside of the bag for modular layering/bivvy shelter.

Great condition, zippers fresh, no tears or worn spots - even the velcro is fairly cherry. Bag is plenty tall for the +6' crowd, and you *can* side sleep inside. No stuff sack, so git gud at loading your backpack properly. 9/10, always great surplus picks coming from militaries that never deploy anywhere and actually use their gear.

Better than "excellent."

This bag has to be unissued. It's in pristine condition. These bags are a great buy. If you can't afford a US 3 bag system, then this will suit your needs pretty well for most of the year.

Also, I'd like to know what kinda sorcery you guys used to remove ANY surplus funk. Seriously. It doesn't smell like surplus. It's kinda spooky and I'm tempted to ask /x/ how you managed that

good to go

If you have any experience with the US Army 3 bag system than this bag is between the heavy weight and the light weight bag. It has a better hood than the Army bags, in that it is bigger and you can easily go full Kenny and sleep comfy all night.
