Budget Drip
Absolute steal for a high quality, low cost blouse that’s drippy af
An icon in surplus-wear, this is the British Desert DPM Field Shirt. Like the US Military's M85 Woodland camo, British DDPM had a very long service history in many military organizations around the world, particularly in countries that were formerly British colonies.
Desert DPM originally consisted of subdued sand and khaki hues when it was first developed in the late 1980's. However, some rather intrepid Middle Eastern countries figured that the original four toned desert pattern worked pretty darn well. Thus the British had to replace the sand and khaki hues with a light brown on sand derivative. Something to do with a Storm in the Desert.
The field shirt's mechanical design has a long history with only minor changes being applied over its service, but the phrase "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" certainly comes to mind. If that isn't "trad", we aren't sure what is.

Sizing
These field shirts are measured in cm using height and chest circumference. The sizing intervals are decently far apart, so you may want to round up or down depending on how you want the shirt to fit (tight like a shirt, or looser like a jacket).
Condition
Field shirts are in excellent condition, with only minor signs of use and no holes, cuts, or tears.

Someone call the vet cos this puppy is sick as hell. Desert DPM is one of the best looking patterns out there, and this field shirt is light and airy with big pockets and Canada buttons.
It is so light that when it arrived in a very small box, with other items, I thought that they had forgotten to include it. Just a pleasure to wear in warm weather. And as another reviewer pointed out, it’s a more subtle pattern. Perfect condition, looks great. Very pleased.
Being that this is my first surplus i bought, probably one of the best i couldve chose as a starter, comfortable and very drippy.
This is one of my favorite shirts to wear out in the warmer weather. It's grown on me a lot and I end up throwing it on over an undershirt for running errands.
Pros:
-Comfy, breathable, softens after a wash
-Two tone camo pattern is less loud than 3 and 4 color ones, nice and subtle for surp
-Chunky buttons, huge pockets if you ever need, great shirt for work (interior pen organizers in each)
-Good range shirt, will soak up CLP without issue and look cool doing it
-Can leave unbuttoned to show off the chest hair (magnum PI but in the desert vibes if you play it right)
Cons:
-British??? Still cool but not down w the crown
-No inner zipper on my shirt, tbh I prefer just having the buttons
