If there’s one thing the British are good at, it’s using outdated equipment (and forms of government). So, after close to 32 years of using pre-shrunk canvas webbing that was essentially the same webbing they used for two World Wars, they finally decided to upgrade. The 1958 webbing was almost as old as the Queen for crying out loud. They replaced it with a surprisingly modern belt system that still holds up today.
The Personal Load Carrying Equipment or PLCE was leaps and bounds ahead of the older 1958 webbing. Featuring double layer IRR treated, 1000D Cordura along with more modern buckle, velcro and press stud fasteners. This is a surprisingly modern iteration of belt kit. Especially considering it was originally designed in the late 1980’s.
The double mag pouches can hold up 3 STANAGS per pouch (since the British can’t own guns they must subscribe to the accuracy by volume meta). The two generously sized GP pouches can hold enough rations (or sweet treats) to sustain you for up to 48 hours. The canteen pouch can hold all of Her Majesty's Yorkshire™ Tea as you need. Plus the PLCE webbing is designed to work in combination with a pack as well if you plan on a longer recce™.

British DPM Load Bearing Webbing Set
Takes quite a bit to set up and adjust to your own body in order to make it sit tight but looks really good afterwards and has plenty of space for mags and other things. One of my pouches was slightly more worn than the others and the camo was less visible.
This rig is very versatile and extremely mod friendly and for the 50ish dollers it costs you simply can’t beat it.
Good set, just replaced the missing mag pouches with a pouch I already have.
it could fit a max 48 inch belly circumference and the adjusting webbing keeps coming out of the buckles
Exactly what I needed, you’ll have a bit of space left over but overall you’ll get 2 canteen/pouches, a slightly smaller pouch for admin stuff or perhaps a leaf suit top, a double mag pouch, bayonet sheath, a belt and a yoke.
Very durable, for the price I’d choose this over a chinesium Smersh any day. Built like a tank.
