Looks great

Arrived in great condition and appears to be a fantastic solution for an individual wanting good shelter but needing covertness and expediency while counting every ounce, particularly in a tactical situation. Add in a good NIR compliant thermal blind to put over it along with good fieldcraft otherwise and you should literally disappear into the woods. Haven't been to the field with it yet, so performance ratings based on first impressions. I like what I see a lot.

Excellent Piece of Kit

Photos do not do this justice, wide enough to toss and turn in without get tangled, long enough to put a Nalgene with hot water in it at your feet to keep you toasty warm and the bug mesh so you don’t feel like you are suffocating makes for a small to pack lite to carry, one and done sleep system. Mine looks like it has never been used.

Great bivy if you're into that

Personally, I love a bivy setup. It's minimal, stealthy, quick setup sleep. It is not good for protecting gear or your pack, or if you get claustrophobic I guess. I put my sleeping pad inside, but there's straps on the bottom if you want to attach a cheap/surplus foam pad to help protect the bottom. You can set this up in complete darkness as well if needed.

Anyways, mine came in used but great condition. Bug net completely intact, no rips or tears in the bag. All zips and buttons working. Had a surplus smell, washed it by hand in a bucket with some tech wash. My tag was too faded to tell I which manufacturer it is. One is the Austrian Carinthia company, the other is a Spanish company. Doesn't matter to me since the one I have is in great condition and feels solid.

For an authentic canned sardine experience...

Works as advertised, very easy to set up, its goretex so it'll keep you nice and dry, and the pole keeps the bug net off your face while you're sleeping. The Dutch are giants too so you can fit a good amount of gear up around your head.

Downsides, its a bivvy. Your real estate for movement is pretty small, so a thick enough sleeping pad will press you up against the top flap to a potentially uncomfortable degree. Ventilation can also be a concern, though I've had good luck just unzipping the lengthwise zipper by a couple inches. The packets are pretty wide, so I havent had an issue with rain that way.

Overall I quite like it. 5/5 as bivvys go, if I had to dock points it would be for not making the toebox extra big for my fucked up ogre feet
