Strike pack

Pack is in great shape. Added cut closed cell foam in with the original back pad. Also added some thin plastic sheet for a little more support. Loved the pack so much that I bought a second one. Found and bought two sets of woodland MOLLE 2 sustainment pouches. Going to modify one pack (remove zippered panels from pack and sew on webbing to mount pouches). The other set will have the zippers sewn on to be able to mount in the normal fashion. Could not find any proper Dutch woodland pouches. I have a new British Bergen in MTP that the pouches and survival panels zipped right in. They did not have to be upside down. Giving 5 stars on utility though, I will be modifying 1. Who doesn’t modify their gear. Performance is great, so far. Ergonomics are good for a non internal frame after adding more padding and a stiffener sheet. Will guess that in warm weather, there will be a wet streak down my back from that solid back pad. Overall, gotta love any cool ruck in woodland!

Strikingly Good Pack

This thing is my favorite pack.

I have the internal-frame Sting jn DPM, which is all nice, rigid, and supported, but really a lot of pack. Those are for extensive loads that totally don't contribute contribute your knee, hip, and back injuries.

Rather than run the zip packs / panels, I used the convenient 1" compression straps and their spacing to lash on these Savotta 4L rocket pouches (if you do this, use the slots in the zip panels by the back to get a nice, tight anchor) and flipped the flimsy belt around to mount Dutch double magazine pouches and GPs by Nixieworks and 8942NW.

There is a slip for a stiffener/pad, and the little foam rectangle does enough one a swagman roll and bivvie are stuffed into the bottom half of the main compartment.

The liner is peeling, but dry bags exist for a reason.

This is my winter pack, and it holds my sustainment load with the modifications shown. I use it with my Nixieworks LFR after removing everything from the buttpack. The LFR holds the ammo, water, IFAK, gloves, a headlamp, and my knife and multitool.

Packed right, it's very comfortable. On its own, it's a great summer pack unless you run hot like I do. It will hold plenty of food and water + a summer weight bivvie for an overnight whole remaining slim.

Great medium sized pack

The material is very durable and stiff so i have no doubt it will hold up to heavy use. I wish the waist straps had some padding but thats okay. The pack itself sits quite high and is skinny. Overall it’s a great pack.

New favorite pack

I love this bag. Its very slim profile is great for the heavy brush of the south and barely gets hung up at all without side bags. In terms of side bags just be warned that the newer production Dutch side bags will mount upside down, with that said if you have sub bags inside to prevent your stuff flying everywhere it’ll work great regardless. As others have said, strap management is a necessity on this bag, but with some self adhering strips or tape and a few knots it isn’t an issue. Finally for belt kit lovers such as myself it fits comfortably over my personal kit ( crossfire dz) and rides well on it with the kidney straps. The only negative I can say is that being as it’s a one compartment pack, accessing or repacking the stuff at the bottom will mean emptying the bag. Overall a great bag

Exactly What I Wanted

This pack just fucks and it is exactly what I wanted. Not super big and not too small. I can do almost anything with it that I need to and I can get 5 days of sustainment or maybe more if I am smart with what I pack.
