40 my ass

My ass 40 40 my ass.

This is definitely over 40 with the provided side bags. The side bags are provided. The waist belt actually can be tightened to the point where a 140 pound 6'4 male (me) can wear it without wearing a coat to widen myself. The top can be used to tornister a blanket, and I've found that the same can be done inbetween the side bags and the main pack, however if you shove a thick wool blanket in there (swiss wool classic blanket used for my personal preference.) It'll eat up some of the interior space with its bulge.

Unfortunately the molle on the sides is basically useless except for the provided side bags provided with the main bag that are provided, however they have zipper attachments anyways, but It'll stop them from sagging ever so slightly, there's only two bars of molle with 4 bars of molle inbetween them, so unless you have a 6 high pouch that for some reason you want to use over the provided side pouches that are provided with the bag, then they exist I guess.

Only complain I have is that it's not really possible to tornister any of my lighter sleeping or shelter pieces on the outside of the pack outside of the top of the bag, or using the molle on the outside of the provided side bags, but the provided side bags are already sticking out, so unless you want to have a wingspan capable of gliding then it's kind of pointless.

Pack this with some care, as a frameless bag with the tiniest amount of padding in the back in existence.

This probably…

Got two birds stoned with the same joint

I didn’t expect Ivan to include the additional dutch rocket pouches with the pack that I ordered. That would have saved me an ebay order. Pack is a little faded and the lining is deteriorating but I don’t particularly care.

Strike pack

Pack is in great shape. Added cut closed cell foam in with the original back pad. Also added some thin plastic sheet for a little more support. Loved the pack so much that I bought a second one. Found and bought two sets of woodland MOLLE 2 sustainment pouches. Going to modify one pack (remove zippered panels from pack and sew on webbing to mount pouches). The other set will have the zippers sewn on to be able to mount in the normal fashion. Could not find any proper Dutch woodland pouches. I have a new British Bergen in MTP that the pouches and survival panels zipped right in. They did not have to be upside down. Giving 5 stars on utility though, I will be modifying 1. Who doesn’t modify their gear. Performance is great, so far. Ergonomics are good for a non internal frame after adding more padding and a stiffener sheet. Will guess that in warm weather, there will be a wet streak down my back from that solid back pad. Overall, gotta love any cool ruck in woodland!
