Item is a bit choppy

Got this piece, I had been putting off getting this axe with no good reason besides I'm an idiot.

It had a touch of rust and the handle was taped up which had nothing to do with items prior use I'm sure.

Anyways it's an awesome axe and is 100% camp worthy going to belt grind a decent edge back on it and probably hit the handle with a little lacquer then some goon tape then I will have an abdominal force that trees will shudder when they view one of its once brethren turned into a chopping tool of their ultimate demise.

Super happy with the product, very solid axe that's held up super well with use for our wood burning stove at home.

Hey, Paul!

The blade is a little too new wave for my taste (previous owner bent it up somehow) but really came into its own when I sharpened it.

But it did split wood pretty well, even with how dull it was when I got it. I sharpened it later and tested it out on a dead tree where it worked fine, despite my poor performance.

Otherwise, it seems to be in good shape, the varnish is all there, the wedges are holding tight. The thing seems to have been used infrequently and just repainted over the years with a little bit of rust underneath.

I plan to just keep it in my truck, and I made a little sheath for it. Any handy fellas should be able to copy my work pretty easily if they wanted with the pics provided.

Sturdy

The paints a bit chipped and it sure as hell hasn’t been cleaned for a while, but it’s a nice, sturdy axe regardless.
