References to the Jolly roger and countless other pirate flags have been worn by special forces for decades for various reasons, but Blackbeard's might've caught on as one of the most popular in recent years. Being among the most infamous of privateers striking fear into the hearts of many on the high seas, it's fitting that his colors were worn by DEVGRU members and other operators.
We couldn't help ourselves but put a bit of a twist on the classic flag seen on thousands of plate carriers as a nod to the original.
After all, if you really know your pirate history, this flag is only a speculative recreation of what Edward Teach's flag looked like.
