In the 1970's the Danish government needed a jack(et) of all trades. As a civil defense worker, you could be putting out a house fire one day and building a flood wall during a rainstorm the next. Not to mention, there was always the fear of the Cold War going hot. The Danish answer to this problem? The M71 Civil Defense Jacket, which is just as fashionable as it is functional.
Predecessor to the
Danish M84 Civil Defense Jacket, this jacket is a little heavier at benefit to the user, and a lot more subtle. Despite them being made in the 70s and 80s, these remain in excellent condition. It sports many of the same features as the M84 such as being fire retardant and size adjustable, while having a more subdued overall look for everyday wearing.
