Looking fab in olive drab, this jumpsuit is an iconic staple of His Majesty's Royal Airforce.

It's not hard to see why: It's easy to don and doff, courtesy of the front zipper, and the velcro wrist straps and leg zippers give the jumpsuit a secure fit that's easy to remove in a pinch. There are also two velcro waist straps, allowing you to tighten it around the midsection, both keeping the coveralls in place and hugging your frame.

The MK14 also incorporates Nomex construction, which allows for chemical and radiation protection—though the most common hazard you might encounter would be fire, and this jumpsuit is built to withstand flames and heat up to almost 700°F (don't try this at home).

Not one to leave their airmen unequipped, the RAF requested the design include a pair of zipped chest pockets so a pilot wouldn't lose important gear while pulling aerial maneuvers (and your cell phone or wallet won't fall out while you're tying your shoes). It also has an additional two waist-height side pockets, two hook&loop ankle pockets, and a pen pocket on the left sleeve. The MK14-A variant also features an extra pair of knee pockets, perfect for navigating maps while flying if you're cool enough (but most likely driving, let's be honest)

Perfect fit, love it

I have a uniform for dumb stuff now.

Forgive the mess in the pic, I was in the process if moving when I took this before I packed it up.

Great coverall, but stinky!

Arrived pretty fast all things considered. Great quality and just an awesome piece. Didn't have the shoulder hook and loops, but did have the chest one.

One major setback: This one had the stink! It had that old surplus smell really bad. So bad that the whole house got funked up. I washed it twice but that didn't do the trick. I wanted to air dry it outside in the sun but we already got snow so it was over. Gonna just have to let it slowly dissipate.

SHORT

These are VERY short. I'm 5'9 and the long is barely enough to contain me. I'm guessing "flight crew" doesn't mean pilot, or maybe all brits are just turbo manlets. The suit itself feels sturdy, like some sort of canvas fabric. Lots of pockets. They come with sheaths for this obscure British knife meant to cut parachute straps, mine had two of them sewn on. They are clearly added after suit production because they aren't really lined up with any of the other stitching. I popped them off with a seam ripper, they don't leave super noticeable thread holes but you can tell the suit is heavily sun faded everywhere else. Wish they had some sort of belt loop.

Radical.

It fits well, and I actually get to use it for work. Smelled odd upon arrival tho.

Very cool piece of surplus

I got mine in the may mystery ball and tried it on, where it fit almost perfectly surprisingly. (little long on the legs but that's fine) If these come back into stock, I would highly recommend, it's pretty good looking and is generally just a cool piece to have!
