These are the Hydramax hydration carriers that made CamelBak® a household name beloved by hikers everywhere.

Part of the US Army's Modular Lightweight Load-carrying Equipment II, or MOLLE II, these hydration carriers were part of the Military's move further away from good ol' ALICE. One of the key things to address from the old system was how soldiers carried and consumed water - and ALICE Canteens couldn't carry as much as they'd like soldiers to have. So, CamelBak® had a solution—no need to take the canteens out of pouches, or have an off-kilter weight distribution when you drink through one of your canteens. 3L of water held in a bladder with an extra long insulated straw, and you no longer need to worry about dehydrated troops.

What we have here is the carrier that allows you to sling the bladder over your shoulders, or if you're an apt surplus enjoyer, integrate it with your own MOLLE II or compatible backpack system. It's a great way to carry water with you for short hikes, and it features 3 rows of MOLLE in case you want to add an extra pouch or two on the back for extra space. The hydration carrier also works great on top of plate carriers due to it's low profile straps, and some have Grimlock attachments to attach to molle webbing without using the straps.

Highly useful

Bought a camelbak insert and it works perfect. D rings are actually pretty useful too and the MOLLE webbing let me put a pouch on the back to carry discs for disc golf.

The CamelBak (by Skillcraft)

It's hot, you're scared, you're tired. You've taken a sip of water from your trusty bladder, and you awaken in an auditorium. There are thousands of young men (and like 3 girls, ewww) sitting in perfect rows around you.

You manage to look up from a weird tome clutched tightly in your paralyzed hands, you see large insignias of eagles and swords and peppers on the wall, but your eyes are so very dry. and the air smells of hand sanitizer.... you take a sip from your Trusty Skillcraft Camelbak, you are quickly ushered out of the auditorium in single file, hot air boils your skin as you walk past a statue of a centurion.

fear fills your belly, you haven't pooped in hours, but the urge is omnipresent as you realize you just left... the Melatonin Room, and the lush green squared shape of which you reside is the 9th circle of hell -- 30th AG.

This was one of the first items I had been issued, and retained after I pussed out and decided to not serve zog. Chances are some dumbfuck E1 wrote on his carrier and shoved a vape or some stupid shit down in it, just know that you may find pieces of real American history down in there. They're great for what they are, but just know that it will NEVER sit comfortably on you, body armor or not. I keep mine purely as a comfort item and ad a reminder of that time I got an all expenses paid camping trip from my Unky Sam <3
