While most people think of ski boots as stiff and uncomfortable, telemark ski boots are meant to be more flexible than your usual ski boot-- you can effectively lunge down the mountain (teleskiing guarantees ripped quads...) and still hike back up it in relative comfort. Pair these with a nice pair of Backcountry XC skis (or ski blades) and dominate the winter both on and off the slopes.
