Love the Tekkies!
These are the REAL DEAL! Mine were dated 1973 and 1978. Trying to decide if I'm wearing a pair occasionally, or just keeping them as Bush War collectibles.
Did you think we spelled Takkies wrong? Well, you're wrong. These are Tekkies, and they're totally a different thing. These are low-top converse styled shoes used primarily as trainers by the SADF.
Genuine SADF issue, and Nutria brown like the rest of the saffie attire.

Super comfortable and very quiet in our High Desert terrain. They're only two years younger than me and made in 1975! Unissued! Gonna see if I can grab another pair. Put 'em away for when I eventually wear these out.....
There soles are thick and once broken in will be a fantastic shoe for any activity
Got these today wore them for hours and still have them on as I’m sitting in my recliner these things are COMFY, LIGHT, and DURABLE I can tell now they they will be my go to footwear every day and especially for hiking and fishing in these coming spring months the best thing is they are dated 1975 which is really cool if I had to sum them up to one phrase it would be “far out man, really far out”
Like the looks, but I’m going to get insoles for better heel and arch support. Still a lot better than Chucks.
