These were sold to us under a completely different name and purpose: Riding a bike. But think about it creatively and you might see why we've dubbed them "combat" gloves.

Austrians excel at making unassuming yet fantastic implements and this certainly falls in that category. A comfortable, protected glove with a hard wearing fabric for mobility, and leather for durability. They come padded on the palm & knuckles, which comes in handy for a boatload of different outdoor activities if you catch our drift (we like to pretend we're Ryan Gosling and wear them while driving, too). Given their leather construction, they'll hold up a lot better than a pair of mechanix too.

A nice touch on the wrist is the hook and loop strap for refining the fit and a clip for keeping the gloves together when you're not wearing them.

Notes: As these are surplus, the leather might have some patina. A quick once-over with your favorite leather cleaner and conditioner can really bring it back to being supple & flexible.

Sweet gloves

The knuckles and heel of the hand are padded, certainly for cycling. However, they are top notch quality and really nice, though used.

It doesn't seem mine are a matching pair, as one seems a bit more worn than the other, but they are definitely going in my range bag.

Cool Gloves that make me feel sexy

Solid pair of gloves with good grip, definitely shooting gloves in bikers clothing. Also the only pair of gloves I've owned that my phones touchscreen responds to, so that's a plus.

Premium pair of gloves for a not-so premium price

The sites description already compares these to Mechanix so I’ll try and go further. These combat gloves in L are comparable to size M Mechanix but like other reviews have stated, they fit alot more like a glove. They hold up alot better than Mechanix too, the suede gets really roughed up and holes will form on the fingers of even M-pact 2 layered gloves. I’m not seeing that sort of damage with these gloves, I’ve done pullups on some rough wood and the leather on the palms and fingers aren’t looking worse for wear. Overall these gloves have a solid balance of dexterity, protection and grip. I’d pick these over Mechanix with the exception of very hot and humid conditions.

The only nitpick I have is they will get sweaty from regular use . They do machine wash very well though.

Nice Pair of Gloves

Got the size 10 (XL) & I think they're pretty great; slides over my hands pretty well & are really comfortable with no hotspots or itchiness, got a small plastic clip in case you want to keep them together on your belt, & several trigger guards were spacious enough for them but some like a 10/22 or certain cowboy revolvers will barely have enough space away from the trigger so be warned if you own some really light triggers. Also, found a 10 Euro Cent coin in the pinky finger, dunno if its a good luck charm or some dude who lost 10c but I'm leaving it there outta dumb superstition.
