Following in a long tradition of Germanic clothing design, the Austrian field shirt is over-engineered and stylish. Like their pant cousins, the lightweight field shirt is made from a tough poly/cotton blend which shrugs off damage, dirt, and sun. It's a dress shirt made for very un-dress shirt situations, and we really like that.

For the best possible fit, we recommend you take this shirt and get it tailored. Yes, tailored.

Why? Because you're not nearly as far away from a good tailor as you think, and it's not nearly as expensive as you think. Most importantly you will look like a god. Seriously, the shirt's only $15.99 — you can get it fitted to you, and it'll still cost less than what you'd find in a store.

Excellent Summer Shirt

The first thing I noticed was how much lighter the fabric was compared to the heavier counterpart. This shirt is perfect for hotter days and the poly/cotton blend makes it quicker to dry than full cotton. The buttons are small compared to the heavier field shirt and the cuffs aren't adjustable, though they're nice to roll up. The only issue I really had is that one of the shirts seemed to have been missing a cuff button though it was easy to sew a new one on. Still one of my favourite shirts though and is my new go-to for the hotter days where I may need a longer sleeve. The heavier counterpart is better for hiking out in the brush where you may get poked and pricked or for cooler, windier days.
