Like the US Military's M81 Woodland camo, British DPM has had a remarkably long service history in several military organizations worldwide, particularly in countries that were previously British colonies. The origins of DPM can be traced back to the hand-painted Denison smock used by British commandos in the 1940s. Early patterns of DPM continued to be used for some field uniforms until it was adopted more broadly in 1968. Up until 2016, DPM had been the standard camo pattern used by the British Armed Forces and is still the issued pattern in several countries.
The DPM Field Pants are high-quality field trousers hailing from a certain country with ridiculously low standards for dentistry. With numerous adjustment points to maintain efficiency and simplicity, and abundant storage provided by its five pockets (three of which can be buttoned), these pants are designed for utility. The DPM camo enables the user to blend seamlessly into wooded environments (your moms backyard) while still allowing them to be worn on the street without looking like a LARPer. The adjustable drawstring waist and ankles allows for a slightly tailored fit.

The DPM Field Pants are sized using standard NATO sizing, which we've translated to good ol' American pant sizing. All you'll need is your inseam, and waist circumference.

British Lightweight DPM Field Pants
Pants fit great on a big fella like me. Belt loops are massive and can easily take an alice belt. Very comfortable in warmer weather. Bit of a later pattern from my smock but still fantastic.
Oi you got a license for those pants
Immediately after I bought my pair, I sent my friend a link to these trousers and he also wanted a pair. He was so broke at the time he threw me an IOU so I bought a pair for him, interest free of course. He likes them and I had two links to review so here's the second review.
For sizing, he said he wanted something tighter and longer than a US Medium Regular MCCUU so we decided on a 34.5" waist (he has a 34" waist measurement) and 34" inseam. He said they fit better and he liked them. Nice feller btw.
Immediately bought these when I saw that they restocked to complete my DPM set and they're even better than I expected. The fabric is VERY lightweight and flexible, they could double as pajamas. The cargo pockets are large and can fit a 1-qt canteen very well. They certainly are fantastic for the hot weather.
I have an exact 36" waist but per other reviews' recommendation, I went up one size to a 37.5" and it's what I consider to be a perfect fit with the side tabs tightened. I also went up one length and ordered a 34" inseam as I intended to use blousing ties and the extra length was perfect for a neat blouse, a 32" would've been slightly too short.
Trousers are pictured with my US jungle boots. Now to wait for Desert DPM trousers....
