British MTP Boonie Hat with Neck Drape
Product Details & Guides
The Sun Can't Kill You If It Can't Find You, Right?
The sun is the original enemy. It burns, it blinds, and it turns the back of your neck into a piece of crispy fatback. Fight back with the British Army's solution to the war of solar aggression: the MTP Boonie Hat with "Legionnaire" neck flap. This piece of Multi-Terrain Pattern engineering is designed to keep your head cool and your neck un-scorched, whether you're deployed in the desert, mowing the lawn at noon, or melting into a sweat puddle while waiting for boomers to finish their IPSC run with a snub-nose revolver.
This is genuine Ministry of Defence (WITH A 'C', MATE) surplus. It's built to survive combat zones, which means it can easily handle your weekend camping trip. The stitching is solid, the fabric is tough, and it doesn't fall apart like cheap knock-offs.
The British answer to Multicam is "MTP", as seen here. It works in the woods, it works in the sand, and it works at the beach. You’ll blend in everywhere except the North Korean army.
Business in the front, sun protection in the back — It's got a tactical mullet. This flap is the ultimate defense against sunburn (and airborne assault ticks), protecting that vulnerable patch of skin between your (alleged) hairline and your collar. It also has Four screened vents let the heat escape so your brain doesn't boil in its own juices.
Keep your hat on your head where it belongs with a cord lock chin strap, even in high winds or during high-speed tactical maneuvers (like chasing the ice cream truck on your illegally imported UTV)
The classic webbing loops around the crown let you stick local vegetation into your hat for maximum stealth. Become the bush. Or just stuff a bunch of cigs in there.
