Known in British Army service as the "Norgie," a name that sounds like a Scandinavian gnome that curses your progeny, but is in fact your new favorite cold-weather layer. This is current-issue microfleece, lightweight but genuinely warm, with thumb-hole cuffs to keep your sleeves down and your hands warm (and cosplay as an eighth-grade girl), a quarter-zip collar for venting off heat when you inevitably overdo it (probably by bending over to tie your shoes), and a long shirt tail because the British Army is silently waging a war against plumber’s crack.

If you've worn the USMC fleece pullover, this is cut from the same cloth (maybe not literally). It’s similar fleece weight and feel, just with a Union Jack pedigree instead of an eagle-globe-anchor. Layer it under a smock, a field jacket, or just wear it around the house pretending you go outside.
